The Story: Almost every day Dad goes to the Work in the morning and comes back home in the evening. But today is different. Dad isn't home yet, and we are waiting for him. Mom looks upset when she says, "Dinner is getting cold." She calls him on the phone, but it just rings and rings. Mom looks at me and I ask, "Dada?" She shrugs her shoulders and sits down to eat dinner with me. It's a quiet evening. Even bath time is quiet, but I have a hard time falling asleep knowing Dad is missing. It's very late when I hear the car pull into the driveway. The front door opens, and there is a lot of talking. The talking gets louder and louder, and I sit up in my crib to listen. Mom and Dad don't usually talk like this. Then doors slam, and the house becomes very quiet again. So I lay back down. Finally I can fall asleep now that Dad is home.
