The Story: "Dadadadada" I say to Dad this morning while he is having coffee in the kitchen. Mom gasps and almost spills her coffee; Dad chuckles. "Is someone saying their first word?" Mom is speechless as she sets down her steaming mug. There might even be tears in her eyes, but I am not paying attention. "Dadadadada" I say again, and Dad picks me up in his strong arms and throws me high into the air! I love it when he does this. I feel like I can fly! "That's right! I'm Dada" He says as he brings me down to kiss my forehead. "And I will always be your dada... forever." He promises me, and even though I don't completely understand what he is saying I know Dad is special. I try to give him a kiss, which looks more like an open mouth lick, and suddenly Mom just starts crying. I bet it was the doctor! I bet he stabbed her a few times.
