The Story: Mom says that I am old enough now to read a story with her before bed. So after my bath and once I am in my warm pajamas, Mom picks me up and lays me in my crib. Then instead of turning on my musically planets, she pulls up a chair and sits down to read from a book. I don't understand most of what she is saying, but every once in a while I can pick out a few words here and there. More important to me is the sound of her voice. Even though I like it better when she sings to me, reading is still pretty good. Her voice is so soft compared to Dad. Like my musical planets, her voice puts me to sleep in under 10 minutes, and I am dreaming peacefully in my crib.
