Spirit's Journey: Episode Forty Five - PTSD 

The Story: Today when Dad comes home from work, we go into the backyard. There is a small hill back here, and sometimes I roll my ball down the hill and pretend it is going super fast! When I show Dad, he smiles in approval and decides it's time to teach me to kick the ball instead. Honestly I am not nearly as coordinated as Dad. The first time I try to kick the ball I miss and fall backward. Dad helps me and demonstrates how he kicks the ball. Then he does some super fancy moves with his feet, almost like they are hands just passing the ball back and forth. I didn't even know that kind of thing was possible. "I used to play soccer in school." He says with pride as he kicks the ball to me. "You got my genes, __________. So if I can do it you can do it too!" He encourages me, and for weeks I practice trapping and controlling the ball with my feet.
